By installing or using Petal (“the app”) you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
The app is a personal logging and estimation tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Cycle predictions, fertile windows, ovulation estimates, conception-chance indicators, hormone illustrations and due-date estimates are statistical estimates based only on the data you enter, and they may be wrong.
Do not use the app as a basis for medical decisions. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional about your health, and seek prompt medical attention for symptoms that concern you.
The app must not be used as a contraceptive method or to avoid pregnancy. Fertile-window and conception-chance features are informational estimates only and are not a reliable indicator of whether you can or cannot conceive on a given day.
All data you enter stays on your device (see the Privacy Policy). Because there is no account and no cloud backup, we cannot recover your data if you lose, reset or replace your device, uninstall the app, or delete your data from within it. Use the export feature if you want a copy.
Anything you export leaves the app’s protection; keeping that copy secure is your responsibility.
The app is intended for users aged 13 and over (16 and over where required by local law). It is not directed at younger children.
You are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control. You may not copy, reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the app except as permitted by applicable law or by the app store’s terms.
The app is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that predictions will be accurate, that reminders will always be delivered (device settings, battery optimisation and OS restrictions can prevent this), or that the app will be error-free.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the app, including decisions made in reliance on its estimates. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.
Apple Health, Clue, Flo and other product names mentioned in the import screen are trademarks of their respective owners. They are referenced only to describe file formats the app can read. No affiliation or endorsement is implied.
These terms may be updated as the app changes. Material changes will be reflected in the app and in this document, with the date above updated.
